The hour has come! The HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2009 opens its doors to welcome over 700 exhibitors (over 1,670 booths) from 17 countries and regions, including group pavilions from the Chinese mainland, Korea and Taiwan. For 27 years this event has been a key platform in this vibrant industry, and each year it gets stronger and stronger.

Highlights in 2009

Brand Name Gallery
Located at Grand Hall and Grand Foyer, the prestigious Brand Name Gallery is once again one of the focal points of the fair, showcasing the best fine-fashion labels, licensed and original brands. This year, the gallery will be open to the public on the last day of the show - a great way for the public to see the trendy designs and enhance their awareness and knowledge of branded timepieces.

Pageant of Eternity
The fair presents the inaugural Pageant of Eternity, located at Hall 1. The high-end, complete watches on display and the handsome decor of this themed zone contribute to the upscale ambience of the fair.
Asian Watch Conference
One of the hits of the event is the Asian Watch Conference on September 5, with keynote speaker Mr Noel Wong, Managing Director, Asia Pacific of A. Lange & Söhne sharing with the audience his insights into the latest trends and spending patterns of high-end consumers in the Chinese mainland.
Hong Kong International Watch Forum
For the first time this year we are organising the Hong Kong International Watch Forum on September 2, during which heads of world watch associations are present to exchange views on the latest developments in the global watch industry.
Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition
Another highly anticipated facet of the show is the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, with themes of "Temptation of Jewellery" and "Black Beauty" for the Open Group and Student Group respectively. The winning entries are on display throughout the show at Hall 1 Concourse.

Media Briefing
At a press conference held on August 26, Mr Louis Tang and Mr John Wong, Co-chairmen of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2009 Fair Organising Committee, together with Mr Raymond Yip, Assistant Executive Director, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, briefed the media on the fair¡¦s latest developments as well as providing an update on the industry outlook.

The two Co-chairmen also announced the results of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition in both the Open and Student Groups, with winners being interviewed by members of the press.
Models show the three winning designs from the Student Group   Fair organisers and industry leaders are joined by some of the winning designers and models showing off the designs.
