HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is the largest timepiece trade fair in the world, and it encompasses the prestigious and glamorous Salon de TE, which showcases the finest branded watches as well as rare and beautiful examples of haute horology.
The fair is a comprehensive, vertically integrated event, covering industry sectors from Parts & Components, Machinery & Equipment, through Complete Watches, Clocks and Wearable Tech to Packaging and Trade Services all under one roof.
In 2013, around 19,000 trade buyers came from 94 countries and regions. A significant jump in buyer numbers from key markets Russia and the Chinese mainland illustrates the value of the fair as an incomparable source of products with high potential for business with emerging markets.
In 2014 the fair is expected to host over 760 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, providing a one-stop sourcing platform. |
| Showcase of international watch brands at Salon de TE |
| Salon de TE is a sophisticated, glamorous platform for fine quality and branded watches. Buyers serving the rapidly escalating demand for such watches, particularly in Asia, welcomed the launch of Salon de TE in 2013. Over 140 international brands from 18 countries and regions participated in the debut Salon de TE and its 2014 edition is expected to be even more attractive to buyers. |
| Within Salon de TE, these superb offerings are placed in thematic zones, allowing buyers to identify market sectors which meet their sourcing objectives. |

On the final day of the fair, September 7, Salon de TE is open to public and trade visitors with a series of public-sharing sessions, lucky draw and exicting events. Selected items will be available for retail sales on that day as well. Watch parades, product demo & launch pad will be held throughout the fair period, giving buyers a vibrant and lively experience. |

| Events of a timely nature |
| The fair encompasses important events. Heavyweight speakers will be invited to the Asian Watch Conference to speak on building a successful brand in Asia. The Hong Kong International Watch Forum will bring together experts in the industry from around the region and tackles key issues in an interactive atmosphere. |

Each year the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition succeeds in revealing some outstanding design talent. In 2014, the competition's 31st year, creativity allied to functionality will be on display in the winning designs under the themes “Time controls world” (for the Open Group) and “Smart World” (for the Student Group).
