Asian Watch Conference (Sept 5)
Make time in your agenda for the Asian Watch Conference, which takes place from 2:30-4:30pm on 5 September at Room N101B!
The keynote speech will be delivered by Mr Yvan Arpa; he’s the owner and CEO of ArtyA, a creative Swiss watch brand. The second half of the conference features a panel discussion on ASEAN market trends. |
“Our company’s philosophy is to help transform the cold virtual digital world into a warmly connected human community. Therefore apart from introducing different coloured casings and various types of wristbands which allows our customers to make a change every day, we are also introducing a brand new technology to bring our customers an entirely new user experience by allowing watch-to-watch communication. With the consent of both parties, compatible units can exchange personal information in just 1 second with no paring necessary and enables multiple participants in a non-network environment. We want to get connected to more distributors from all around the world especially the European and American countries. At the same time, we want to build our brand awareness by manifesting our products in the fair and let our potential partners experience the power of our new technology.”
Mr. Franky Man, Director, Add-Inc Ltd., Hong Kong
“Our company has 55 years of experience specialising in producing watches with Chinese culture as our design elements and we have our own research and development team. As our watches target only the premium market and customers with affordability, what we want to achieve in this fair is to promote our brand awareness in order to assist the retailing business of our distributors in Hong Kong, as well as to provide a chance for potential buyers to look at our watches at a closer distance. I especially appreciate the Watch Parade and Product Launch arranged by the HKTDC which allow us to expand our reach to the potential buyers and introduce our creativity and innovation.”
Mr. Miao Hong Bo, General Manager, Beijing Watch Factory Co. Ltd, China

Key Buyers Are Here. Hear What They Say |
![](http://hkwatchfair.hktdc.com/dm/2013/fairdaily/img/day2_buyer_logo.jpg)
“We are one of the leading manufacturers and retailers of customised and luxury wrist watches in Kuwait and we are also hosting independent labels including Qatoof, Topaz and Leonardo Valentino to be distributed in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Africa. This is in fact the eighth year we are visiting this fair in Hong Kong. We mainly source luxurious watches from Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and Korea and in fact we are still working with the suppliers we met here a few years ago. I have visited many watch fairs around the world and I would say that the HKTDC one is the best organised amongst all. The itinerary for buyers is well-planned and every little detail is taken into considerations. Thanks to the business matching arrangements, I have already met two potential suppliers in the first morning.”
Mr. Mohammed Shakeel Ur Rahman, General Manager, OTANGO International, Kuwait
“We are a Spain watch manufacturer who source different parts of watches from Asia, assemble them in Switzerland and then export to South Europe and Latin America. This is the second time I have been here since my visit four years ago and this time my targets are watch cases and different parts of watches. This fair is very convenient to all the buyers and the business matching service has assisted me to spot the potential suppliers more easily. Unlike in other fairs that I might be getting only news and updates about the market, this fair here allows me to get to work and get connected with people immediately. I enjoyed my stay here and I appreciate the superb arrangements by the HKTDC.”
Mr. Nacho Gasulla, General Manager, Relojeros Independientes, Spain
